Create Tournament
4To create a new tournament, click on 'Create Tournament' in the menu. Follow the instructions on the page to set the tournament mode, number of teams and groups, and other settings.

Yes, that is possible. On free-tournament.com, you can create tournaments with any number of teams and groups, even if the number is odd. Our system automatically adjusts the schedules, regardless of the total number. This allows you to plan and conduct your tournaments flexibly and easily.
- Group stage + KO phase: Here, teams first play against each other in groups. The best teams from each group qualify for the knockout phase, where they compete in a knockout system for the tournament victory.
- Only KO phase: In this mode, teams compete directly in a knockout system without prior group matches.
- Only group stage: In this mode, teams only play against each other in groups, and there is no subsequent knockout phase. The winner is determined based on the results of the group matches.
- League or competition with multiple matchdays: Plan fixed matchdays, flexible individual kick-off times and a table that updates automatically after each matchday.
- Funino: Designed for youth football with lots of ball actions, multiple fields and a fast, clear flow.
Schedule & Results
5Go to the tournament overview and select the respective match. Enter the results and press 'Save'. The table will be calculated automatically.
Yes, you can mark matches as active. When a match is marked as active, it is highlighted in the schedule. This makes it easier to manage and track ongoing or important matches during the tournament.
Yes. In the tournament overview, you can export the schedule as a PDF and share or print it right away. If you need high-quality PDF exports for schedules and tournament brackets, Premium is the right extension.
Yes, the points awarded can be customized. By default, 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. However, these default values can be adjusted as needed to meet the specific requirements of your tournament.
Open your tournament via "Edit tournament", go to "Schedule", and click "Edit". You can change the time of individual matches there. If you also enable "Automatically continue times after change", all following matches are adjusted automatically (e.g. from match 10 onward).

A tournament bracket visually displays the knockout rounds. You can generate brackets automatically for 4 to 64 teams. If you want to export tournament brackets in especially high quality as PDF or PNG, Premium is the right extension.
Funiño is a child-friendly football format with small teams (3 vs. 3) and multiple goals. free-tournament.com generates the complete Funiño schedule automatically.
Yes. The platform works very well for e-sports and online tournaments such as EA SPORTS FC / FIFA cups, gaming leagues, or community competitions. Free already gives you a strong foundation, while Premium adds branding, high-quality exports, and additional organization tools when you need them.
